We understand the Challenges Parks Face

Electrical issues within park environments rarely begin as visible failures. More often, they develop gradually through aging components, evolving load demands, incomplete upgrades, or protection systems that no longer reflect current safety standards.

Many parks continue to operate with hidden vulnerabilities — conditions that may not present immediate problems but can later result in unexpected outages, safety concerns, or costly emergency interventions.

Electrical Works works with park owners and operators to identify these risks early, providing clarity on system condition, capacity, grounding integrity, and protection effectiveness before minor issues escalate into operational disruptions.

Most parks operate with hidden electrical risks that only become visible when failures, safety issues, or compliance concerns arise.

Common challenges we help resolve:

What is 2026 GMI Compliance?

The future’s here. Are you ready?

The 2026 Edition of the National Electrical Code (NEC) introduces a major safety update for the RV industry: The Grounding Monitor Interrupter (GMI) requirement. All RVs with 30A or 50A electrical service will soon include a GMI, a device that ensures the RV’s electrical connection is properly grounded before power is allowed to flow.

A GMI checks the receptacle for a safe, continuous ground connection and continuously monitors it while the RV is in use. If a ground is lost, the GMI will automatically disconnect power to prevent electrical hazards and protect both guests and property.

The 2026 NEC edition was officially adopted in September 2025, with implementation timelines to be finalized by the RV Industry Association in late 2025.

At Electrical Works, we help park owners and developers understand these new requirements and confirm that every site connection is ready for the transition. Our GMI testing and compliance evaluations give you complete assurance that your systems meet code, operate safely, and keep your park fully powered.

What GMI Compliance Really Means for Your Park
Tristan Ciceri, Master Electrician & Vice President of Electrical Works

Designed Specifically for Park Environments

Park electrical systems operate under conditions that differ significantly from standard residential or commercial installations. Variations in load behavior, environmental exposure, pedestal distribution, grounding considerations, and hookup configurations all require specialized understanding.

Electrical Works concentrates exclusively on these environments. This focus allows us to develop solutions that align not only with technical standards but also with the practical demands of high-occupancy sites, evolving usage patterns, and expansion planning.

Our work reflects the operational realities of parks — ensuring that infrastructure performs consistently under real-world conditions.

A Message from Tristan

Our Vice President

Ground Monitor Interrupter compliance and park electrical protection remain among the most commonly misunderstood areas of park infrastructure.

It is not unusual for properties to operate for years under the assumption that their systems are adequately protected, only to encounter failures or compliance concerns that reveal underlying deficiencies. These situations often arise at the most inconvenient times, affecting guests, staff, and operations simultaneously.

Electrical Works was built to help park owners and operators avoid these outcomes by providing practical guidance, stable solutions, and infrastructure strategies grounded in real-world park experience. The goal is straightforward: to protect people, preserve operational continuity, and eliminate preventable disruptions.
